Honduras Trip 2026
This year, Para Ella returned to Honduras to continue our mission of bringing cervical cancer screening and treatment to women in some of the most remote and underserved communities in the world.
Across multiple locations in the Wampusurpi region, our teams worked alongside local partners to provide care, train future healthcare providers, and identify women in need of immediate treatment or follow-up.
This work is not just about access — it is about reaching patients who would otherwise go without life-saving care.
Why Remote Care Matters
This featured story highlights Winnie, a flight paramedic who has chosen to serve in remote environments — a perspective that closely reflects the reality of Para Ella’s work.
In regions like Wampusurpi, access to care is often limited by geography, infrastructure, and resources. Reaching these communities requires not only medical expertise, but a commitment to go where care is needed most.
Watch her story below to better understand the importance of delivering care in remote settings.
2026 Honduras Mission Impact
Following our work across the Wampusurpi region, Para Ella teams delivered critical cervical cancer screening, treatment, and training across four remote communities.
In total, our teams reached over 250 women, identified multiple cases requiring urgent follow-up, and trained the next generation of healthcare providers to continue this work locally.
